ISFEST (Information System Festival) is a national level competition that challenges participants to push their creativity and problem solving skills under pressure. One of its standout events is the 12 Hour Live UI/UX Design Competition, where designers are given a surprise theme and limited time to create a complete solution from ideation to high fidelity design all within just 12 hours. This intense, real time format tests not only design skills but also teamwork, time management, and adaptability, making it a valuable experience for aspiring UI/UX designers to showcase their talent in a competitive and collaborative environment.

The first step we took was creating a user persona to better understand our target audience and guide the design decisions for our mental health app.

The first step we took was creating a user persona to better understand our target audience and guide the design decisions for our mental health app.
🖼️ DESIGN
After defining the user persona, we had a clear direction to begin designing. I started working on the visual style, choosing calming green tones and a friendly, approachable design. We also introduced a “belief” category so if the user identifies as Christian, for example, the app can display relevant Bible verses tailored to their emotional state.
